Yesterday was Father's Day and Lily's 6 month birthday. It was a nice relaxing day. It was great to be able to spend time together as a family. I cannot wait until our schedules change and Sean and I will get to spend more time together.
Lily still hasn't mastered crawling, but she definitely can get to where she wants to go. She does this little scooting inch worm looking move. She will get up on her hands and knees a lot now too, but doesn't seem to realize that she needs to move her arms and legs.
We did do a photo shoot for Lily's six month and got some adorable pictures. I will try to do another post tonight with them in it so that everyone can see her.
Now it is time to finish getting ready for work and spend a little time with Lily if she ever decides to wake up!

Trying to Crawl
Lily is really trying her hardest to crawl. She is now getting up on her hands and knees a lot more and it still scooting around every where. I was finally able to catch some of her attempts on video. She usually stops doing whatever it is that she was doing when I pull out the camera, but this time she didn't seem to notice. Sorry for all the jiggling.

Busy
I finally got photos to upload! Here are a few from the last few weeks.

She was super happy to be sitting up all on her own with a bow in her hair.

5 months old and looking a little ornery

Being silly

Stuffed cardinals sure do taste yummy!

Swinging at my parents' house

She loves to eat
Our lives a very busy right now but I wouldn't have it any other way. Lily is trying her hardest to learn how to crawl and has now mastered the art of "inch-worming". If I put her on a quilt on the floor she rarely stays on it for more than 5 minutes before she is off exploring the rest of the family room. This makes it a lot harder for me to get things done while she is playing because I have to constantly see where she is. Luckily inch-worming is not the quickest mode of travel yet.
She absolutely loves Selene. As soon as she sees her doggy her eyes light up, grins real big, and lets out a very high pitched squeal. Selene still isn't all that sure of this little human in the house but is definitely getting a lot better. She lets me help Lily pet her and will lie down closer to Lily, but still not within arms reach. I don't blame her though, once Lily gets a grip on someone's hair she somehow gets her fingers all wrapped up in it and pulls hard.
She is doing really well with eating solids as you can see from the above photo. She loves rice cereal and likes sweet potatoes and pears if I make the fresh. I made a bunch of both and froze them and she won't eat them unless they are mixed with rice cereal. She gets so happy when I put her in her high chair. I will admit that sometimes when she is being fussy and just wants to be held but I have to get stuff done around the house I will put her in the high chair and move it around the house with me.
Sean and I are still working opposite shifts so we hardly see each other, but one of us it almost always with Lily. Hopefully that will change soon and we can see each other a bit, but I'm not wanting to possibly have to put Lily in child care. I have started doing direct sales for a company called 31 Gifts. It is a lot of fun and I like being able to make a little extra income. The company makes amazing purses, bags, and other totes that are all customizable.
